BLACK FARMER SUES FLORIDA FOR LIMITING MINORITY MARIJUANA LICENSES TO BLACK FARMER & AGRICULTURALIST ASSOCIATION ONLY

Columbus Smith, an 80 year old African American farmer out of Panama City is suing the state of Florida in hopes to prevent them from issuing cannabis cultivation licenses only to members of the Black Farmer & Agriculturalist Association. Smith claims the association won’t allow new members to join, and argues there is no rational basis for the licenses to be limited to only┬ámembers of the Black Farmer & Agriculturalist Association, especially considering there are only 5 members.
